Finish Strong Adult Groups


Maine Half and Full Marathon Training Group

The Maine Half and Full Marathon training group is designed for runners looking to advance their running fitness to the half or full marathon distance. We will complete an 8 week training program together with a goal of racing the Maine Marathon (Half or Full distance) on October 5, 2025.  This group is open to all levels of runners. We will have weekly options tailored to your level of fitness. The program will take place every Saturday morning at 7:30am, from August 9th to September 27th, and every other Wednesday evening at 5:30pm during our 8 weeks of training.

*All participants should be actively running prior to registering. Half Marathoner’s should have the current fitness to be able to complete a comfortable 6-8 mile run and Full Marathoner’s, a 12-14 mile run. *If you are coming off our Reach the Beacon Program, you are ready! If you are unsure, please ask.

Fall 5k Turkey Trot

Our Fall 5k Training Group is a two-tiered program for beginners and veteran 5k runners. If it is your first 5k, we will guide you through the journey to cross the finish line with confidence. If you have trained with us before or have already checked the 5k box, we will focus more on intensity and improving your 5k time. This is an 8-week training program and will take place every Wednesday evening, at 5:30pm, starting on October 1st. We will also meet for 2 bonus weekend longer runs. We will finish strong by racing the Maine Track Club Turkey Trot 5k on Sunday, November 23rd.

Winter Run Club

The Winter Run Club is designed for runners looking to maintain a consistent running base during the winter months. We will complete a 9-week training program together in preparation for the Mid-Winter Classic 10 Miler. It is recommended that all participants have completed a 5k race (training included) or 5 mile run distance prior to the start of this program. The program will take place every Wednesday evening at 5:30pm from December 4th to February 2nd. We will also meet for a bonus 2 weekend runs during this program.

Endurance Strength Group - Winter Group

The Endurance Strength Group is designed for adult runners, triathletes, and other athletes looking to have a consistent strength plan base during the winter months. This is a 12-week training program together with one in person session and one at home session. The program has the option for an evening session, Mondays 6pm - 7pm or Tuesday mornings 7am - 8am.

5k Spring Run Club

The Spring Run Club is designed for runners looking to ramp up their running after winter, fine tune their speed as we head into spring, or a group to stay consistent with their running throughout the year. We will complete a 10 week training program together with a goal of racing The Cape Challenge 5k on May 18th, 2025. This group is open to beginners and veterans with weekly options to walk/run, run, or participate in a speed focused workout (typically 4-8 miles total distance). The program will take place every Wednesday evening at 5:30pm from March 12th to May 14th. We will also meet for a bonus 2 weekend longer runs during this program.

Endurance Strength Group - Spring Group

The Endurance Strength group is designed for runners, triathletes, and other athletes looking to have a consistent strength plan base during the spring months. We will complete a 12-week training program together with one in person session and one at home session.

Reach the Beacon 10k Group 2025

The Reach The Beacon 10K (6.2 miles) training program is designed for runners looking to improve their running goals beyond a 5K. All participants are suggested to have completed a 5K (training included) prior to the start of this program, and should expect longer runs from about 3-6 miles. The 10 week training program will take place every Wednesday evening at 5:30pm from May 28th to July 30th.
