About Finish Strong

At Finish Strong Physical Therapy + Performance, we believe health, wellness, and performance are built through a combination of expert guidance, purposeful movement, and meaningful community. Whether you're recovering from an injury, training for a goal, looking to improve your overall fitness, or seeking connection with others who share your interests, we're here to support your journey.

Our services are built around three core pillars:

PHYSICAL THERAPY
Personalized, one-on-one care designed to help you recover from injury, reduce pain, restore function, and move with confidence. Through comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment plans, we help you get back to doing the things you love.

PERFORMANCE
Whether you're an athlete, active adult, or simply looking to move and feel better, our performance services are designed to help you build strength, improve resilience, prevent injury, and reach your goals. We meet you where you are and create a plan that fits your lifestyle and ambitions.

COMMUNITY
We believe lasting success is easier when you're surrounded by support. Through group training, run clubs, educational workshops, and community events, we create opportunities for people of all backgrounds and ability levels to learn, grow, and stay active together.

No matter which service brings you through our doors, our approach remains the same: individualized attention, evidence-informed care, and a genuine commitment to helping you thrive. We take the time to understand your goals, provide clear guidance, and empower you with the tools and knowledge needed for long-term success.

As an out-of-network provider, we are able to prioritize quality care, meaningful relationships, and the flexibility to deliver the services we believe best support your health and performance. For those seeking reimbursement, we can provide the documentation needed to submit claims through out-of-network insurance benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are answers to some of our most commonly asked questions. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to reach out - we’re happy to help.

Do I need a referral from my doctor before beginning physical therapy?

No. In the state of Maine, you do not need a physician referral to see a physical therapist.

Our team will complete a comprehensive evaluation and help determine the best path forward based on your needs and goals. If we feel additional medical evaluation would be beneficial, we will gladly help connect you with an appropriate provider.

Do you accept insurance?

Finish Strong Physical Therapy + Performance is an out-of-network provider, which means we do not bill insurance companies directly and payment is due at the time of service.

We do accept Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) when applicable. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement for covered physical therapy services. We can provide a superbill with the documentation needed to submit a claim to your insurance company.

Due to federal regulations, we are unable to provide covered services to individuals using Medicare, MaineCare, or other federally funded insurance plans such as TRICARE.
