Lucy Knowlton
Lucy Knowlton (they/she) grew up in Turner, ME, and started running competitively in the 7th grade as a (reluctant) track athlete trying to stay in shape for cross country skiing - despite a rocky outset, running somehow stuck. At Bowdoin College and later as a graduate student at the University of Southern Maine, Lucy ran cross country as well as indoor and outdoor track, even setting the USM school record for the 5000 meter run in 2022. These days, you can find her working at Marathon Sports and coaching cross country at Gorham High School, where she gets to connect with fellow athletes and community members through gear, nutrition, and competition. Outside of work, they love to explore local trail systems, tinker with chocolate chip cookie recipes, and find any excuse to read by the ocean. Lucy is delighted to join the Finish Strong crew in 2026, and can't wait to see all that our runners try and achieve this year!
We are able to offer scholarships thanks to generous donations of Finish Strong, Marathon Sports and A Running Passion. Please reach out to us for more information.
