Colin Jones
Coach at Scarborough HS, Ran at the University of Southern Maine
My name is Colin. I grew up in Scarborough, Maine where I developed a passion for middle distance running. After high school I attended the University of Southern Maine where I ran cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track and earned the William B Wise Scholar Athlete award for all four years . Since graduating college in 2019 I have served as the distance running coach at Scarborough High School during the indoor and outdoor track seasons. During the fall 2021 season I also served as the assistant coach for the high school's cross country team.
When I am not running on the roads I am busy running my own business. I enjoy traveling, partaking in southern Maine’s incredible food scene, and spending time in Bridgton, Maine on the lake!
This summer I am excited to participate in this new program as someone who is passionate about the sport of running. I’m looking forward to connecting with new athletes in the area who are looking to build stronger habits as they prepare for future competitive running seasons!

My name is Megan Fecteau. I ran cross country and track at the University of New England, graduating in 2022 with my degree in exercise science. I am currently still attending UNE as a student in the doctor of physical therapy program. I am passionate about helping younger runners develop their ability and love for the sport by getting stronger and having fun. I'm excited to get to know everyone and have a great summer of running!

Taylor Bickford
Assistant Coach at Cheverus High School, Ran at Wellesley College
My name is Taylor Bickford. I am a project manager at New Balance and an assistant cross country coach for Cheverus High School. While I ran in college at Wellesley College, I found my real passion in marathon training when I ran the London Marathon as my debut marathon in 2:42. I currently am running for Dirigo and love to race all distance from the 5k to the marathon. Since I have personally dealt with a lot of injuries as I learned what kind of runner I was and how my body reacts to training, I am extremely passionate about helping younger runners discover their personal full-picture relationship to running, including everything from nutrition, mentality, injury prevention, and of course training.

Annabelle Brooks
Ran for Cheverus
Skied D1 at HarvardMy name is Annabelle Brooks. I am a junior at Harvard College where I’m majoring in psychology (neuroscience track) and biology. I graduated from Cheverus High School in 2023 where I ran cross country and outdoor track and also skied on the Nordic ski team. In college, I skied for the 2023-24 Harvard Varsity Nordic Ski Team. At the end of my freshman year, I ran my first marathon up at Sugarloaf and finished in 3:13, which was a Boston qualifying time. I love the process of figuring out a solid training plan for an upcoming race as well as focusing on how best to fuel my body not only for success but for injury prevention. I am always happy to meet other runners and share nutrition and training ideas while enjoying this wonderful sport!

Ethan Keller
Ran for Scarborough HS
Currently runs D1 at UMaineMy name is Ethan Keller. I live in Scarbough Maine, and I began my running journey in elementary school where I loved going on runs with my friends, being a part of the community services team. After this I decided to continue running, (After being awful at lots of other sports), being a distance runner for Scarborough High school. Here I found lots of success in my training and racing earning a state champion title in the indoor mile, as well as 3 indoor team titles, an outdoor title, and a cross-country title. I did this alongside some awesome teammates who pushed me hard and made training fun. I now run cross country and track at the Division 1 level for UMaine, finding some early success in my first year of college with some new PRs and earning 3 rookie of the week recognitions in America East. Aside from the team, I am studying Civil Engineering with a focus in either Transportation or Geotechnical Engineering.
This will be my third year at the Finish strong summer run club and my first year as a CIT. I absolutely love training with this group of experienced coaches and strongly believe it is a great opportunity to gain both a strong summer base, as well as tons of knowledge that you can take out of it. I am excited to share some of my knowledge on pre-race strategies, as well as smart training that will avoid burnout, something I struggled with thought high school. -

Hadley Mahoney
Ran for Cape Elizabeth HHS
Currently runs D1 at GWUHi everyone! My name is Hadley, and I am a sophomore at George Washington University, where I run cross country and track. I went to Cape Elizabeth High School, where I ran cross-country and track for 4 years. I’m mostly a distance runner, so I love anything from the 800m to the 5k! I did high school run club for 2 years in high school, and I loved it! It was such a fun and welcoming environment to be in, no matter where you were in your training or running career. I was able to be a CIT coach last year for the Finish Strong high school run club. I am so excited to be back this year to help you all build a strong mindset and grow as runners!

Currently runs D3 at Trinity CollegeMy name is Evan Small I ran and graduated from South Portland High-school, where I graduated in 2025, and currently run at Trinity College with my main events being the 3200m in high-school (9:35) and 5k in college (15:17). The run club is valuable as it gives you an opportunity to safely train over the summer with multiple coaches guiding you, and a good operating to train with new people! Landen Springer
Ran for Scarborough HS
Currently runs D3 at Dickinson CollegeHi my name is Landen Springer. I started running during the end of my freshman year, fell in love with the middle distances and never looked back. Some of my biggest achievements are getting 4th place in the 800m in the Class A State Championships, and qualifying for NBNI the same year with my 4x800 team. I now run DIII track and XC at Dickinson College in Pennsylvania.
My first experience with Finish Strong’s Run Club was my junior to senior summer. It not only provided a structured training regime, but also weekly workouts and lifts that helped improve my fitness and stride efficiency before the XC season even started. This training helped me break my 5k PR in the first meet of the XC season and drop over 4 seconds from my 800 and 8 seconds from my mile time during track.
I’m happy to be returning to the program with the goal of teaching others how to best take advantage of the summer training block, and giving advice on running in college/college recruiting! -

Emma Young
Ran for Cape Elizabeth HHS
Currently runs D1 at Rice UniversityMy introduction to distance running was through Girls on the Run in 4th grade, but I didn’t begin running competitively until my sophomore year at Cape Elizabeth High School. I am now a member of the Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams at Rice University in Houston, Texas. The Finish Strong Summer Run Club is a great resource for young runners to benefit from a structured summer training plan, work on mechanics and strength that keep them healthy going into their fall seasons, and, most importantly, build friendships with other runners in Southern Maine that last well beyond the program. Run Club has been a special part of my recent summers, and I’m excited to share it with you!
